Dear All
We recently stayed at Biggin Hall for four nights and had a most enjoyable time, so I felt that I would like to congratulate you on the way the hotel arrangements make for a very smooth and relaxed visit.
The staff were invariably cheerful and obliging, and the extra touches such as the drinks whilst dinner choices were noted made everyone very comfortable and relaxed. I should not hesitate to recommend Biggin Hall to anyone.
Thank you once again,
Yours, Clive and Susan Gauntlett 27th August 2010

Have stayed here for a couple of years and find the Ice Breaker Specials to be superb value. Meeting up with people from previous years is testament to the quality of service and the warmth of the welcome, which is only rivalled by the open log fire.
The area is ideal for walking and the scenery lends itself to stunning photography. the geese are not camera shy and like to get in on the act!! The Ice Breaker Special is now a firm favourite in the calendar. Pip Rabbitts, Somerset Tue 10th Mar 2009
We booked this hotel after much deliberation and at short notice, to stay in the 'Bothy', along with our labrador. Then I saw some of the so called reviews. All I can say is that the room, although small, was perfectly comfortable, the bed huge, and everything spotlessly immaculate (a worry when it's a room used for dogs). As for value for money, we calculated that if you allow £20 for a four course meal (unlikely judging from the £14.95 that the pub in Hartington was charging for a main course only), £6 for an as much as you can eat breakfast, and £4 for a picnic lunch, you're only paying as much as you would for a travel inn or similar type of room. This venue is eccentric, it is idiosyncratic, as another reviewer commented, but it's superb and if you've found something to whinge about, then you need to go to a budget motel next time. We'll certainly be going back. Pilotboys Mum, Northants Tue 28th Jul 2009
We first stayed at Biggin Hall when our daughters bought us two nights for a wedding anniversary and now we go at least rwice every year. We agree all you say.The other guests are mostly on return visits. If, after a day in the open air, you like to sit by an open fire with a drink and chat to like minded guests this is for you.If you prefer to keep to yourselves, then don't go.It is probably the friendliest place we have ever stayed. dennis knight, malton N Yorks Sun 11th Oct 2009
We stayed in the Oak suite and thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary weekend. The room was spacious and we were very comfortable, the bathroom was very romantic with it's double ended bath and the low beams in our room only added to it's character, The four poster bed could do with some new hangings but that's not much to complain about.Who knows maybe this has been remedied since we stayed. The food was amazing and we would go back just for that alone but we felt the whole atmosphere and the friendly welcome also added to the experience there and you were never made to feel uncomfortable whether you dressed for hiking or for a special occassion, as we did both, as did others. If you want good food served promptly and tasting out of this world, a good nights rest, try it, you will not be disappointed. P. Newell, Norwich Mon 16th Nov 2009
